Today we had the charity performance for our 2016 show 'Rapunzel' and it went incredibly well, setting up what will be another incredibly successful week for our society! The charity performance is always important to us as it an opportunity to give back to members of our community who would not have normally been able to come and take part in the fun! We offered the whole charity audience the 'full pantomime experience' with a program, sweets, ice cream and raffle ticket for free - just shows how great our society is!

So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and pantomime horses, go and get your tickets now as you won't want to miss out on the exciting story of Rapunzel!

Panto Synopsis:
When a young girl called Lucy goes to bed listening to the story of Rapunzel, her imagination runs wild and her toys come to life to take part in the fairytale! Through this we meet Galahad, a brave knight who’s down-in-the-dumps since his girlfriend, Gwendoline, ran off with the evil King Richard. However, Gwen won’t stop comparing the king to her old boyfriend and on a visit to Lego City the King hatches an evil plan to get rid of Galahad once and for all! He kidnaps Rapunzel’s parents and forces her to lie to Galahad and lead him to his death… With the help of a useless cowboy, an overly positive rainbow doll, a depressed robot, an action-man fairy and a few crazy pirates, Galahad will face off against King Richard, his dinosaur bodyguard called Gareth, a French chef and a forgetful witch. Which toy will come out on top? Only one way to find out…

Tonight, the very first read through of the 'Dracula Spectacular' script happened at The Blue Anchor pub! Thanks very much to everyone who turned up for the read though and lovely to have a nice catch up with everyone over some food as well :) Everything seemed to go well (apart from a slightly ropey second half which will be sorted I promise lol) and I can't wait to see all of you on stage performing it! Main cast, it's the same time next week at the Victory Hall to look at the script again. This one's going to be awesome!

Oh and by the way, if anyone finds a 50p in the Blue Anchor then it's mine... ;)
